It's been a while since I posted one of these but I've been talking to a bunch of people lately that are using the sketchpad on this site to draw and I was inspired. Speaking of inspiration… I just saw the movie "Monster House" and was blown away by the artwork that went into it. I like it when something puts me back on my heels and makes me think I need to keep pushing my own personal abilities as an artist. That's what happened when I saw the work of Chris Appelhans. I can't say enough for his ability to create a mood, control 3 dimensional space and his sense of composition. Pretty amaazing stuff.
