Sketch 071117

1

Starting with a black page is interesting. Instead of adding the darks to the image like you do when you start with a white page you're actually adding the light. I see it as adding the physical light source like you just took a flashlight and turned it on in a dark room with a bunch of objects in it. I used this thought process to create the image below. It felt as if I were physically building the image from the inside out bringing it to light one layer at a time as if you were using a flashlight with a dimmer switch until you brought it to full brightness……

~ What's Your Opinion ~

Have you ever built an image like this from the inside out? Maybe you've sculpted something or built something like a doll or a puppet where you had to start with a frame and make your way outward to the clothing? What medium did you use, clay, oil paint, wax, etc..? Tell me about it by leaving a comment below….. Bragino Sketch 071117
